Namaste,that's how you will be greeted at most places in India.This side Chirag Jain.In this blog I want to bring some light on our auspicious Indian Culture and Traditions.
India is socially ,linguistically and culturally very diverse country.I myself as an Indian feels a strong sense of pride in disctiveness and diversity in Indian culture.Here is some brief discussion on some of the important Indian Customs and Tradition:
Some of the diverse Indian cultures:
Greeting
Namaste or Namaskar is a traditional greeting which translates to "Bow down to you''it is a way of saying ''May our mind meets'',indicated by folded palms placed before the chest.It also signifies the reduction of one's ego.
Indian Languages
India is linguistically very diverse.Hindi and English are main languages spoken by Indians.Other than this 22 scheduled languages is identified by Indian Constitution.
Indian Clothing
Indian clothing sense is way too attracting.Indian dressing is famous all over the world for its uniqueness.

For men traditional clothes are Dhoti ,Lungi ,Sherwani,Bandhgala,Salwar Kameez occassionally worn on some traditional events.Generally shirts and trousers are worn in daily life .

Yoga is an ancient Indian Practice first discovered by Shiva.It benefits for the unification of mind,body and soul through different body postures,meditation techniques and chanting .International Yoga festival helds in Rishikesh to promote prosperous health and divine lifestyle.
Dahi Handi

Dahi Handi is a very friendly and competitive part of celebration of auspicious day Janmashtami(Birthday of Lord Krishna).Lord Krishna is very naughty as a child and his love for "makkhan" drove him to steal them from the residents of Vrindavan.Krishna Janmasthami marks the auspicious day as Lord Krishna , an avatar of Lord Vishnu was born to Devaki and Vasudev to protect the people of Mathura from the tyranny of King Kansa .
Fire Walking
It is one of the most interesting tradition of Tamil Nadu .This tradition is practised in the honour of Draupati , the wife of the five Pandava Brothers in Mahabharata .Male show their bravery by walking on the sheet of burning coal and a pot of milk or water on their head for their balance.
Varanasi's Aghoris

They are one of the most feared and wondering monks who are dieheart worshippers of Shiva and his female equivalent Kali .These Sadhus are associated with post death rituals and cremation activities such as cannibalism .Shrouded with the aura of mystery the sadhus follows a ritual of dipping in Ganges before sunrise to be free from sins .
I hope that this blog added some knowledge to you although there are uncountable traditions in our ''Bharat ''.All these traditions and customs are pride of we Indians and we are known for this unique customs all over the world .
